Nanjing Iron & Steel blast furnace to undergo four-month maintenance

Some 5,000 mt of molten iron daily production will be affected when a blast furnace of 2200 m³ enters maintenance on Sept 1

SHANGHAI, Aug 28 (SMM) – Some 5,000 mt of molten iron daily production will be affected at Nanjing Iron and Steel as the company plans to put one of its blast furnaces of 2,200m³ into maintenance from September 1.

Maintenance is scheduled for four months. During the period, the company will purchase steel billet for further processing in order to minimise impact, SMM learned.
