Price CenterDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Aug 10 (SMM) – Jiangxi Pinggang Industrials Holdings in Jiangxi province will suspend a blast furnace of 450m³ and another of 1080m³ on Sunday August 12. Following this, all seven operating blast furnaces owned by the company will cease to be in production.
The plant’s total daily production of crude steel, estimated at 17,000 mt, will be affected.
As of Monday August 6, five blast furnaces have been in hot idling mode as the provincial environmental bureau visited the city.
It remains unclear when the restriction would be lifted, SMM learned.
