DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Aug 8 (SMM) – China exported 5.89 million mt of finished steel in July, down from 6.94 million mt in June, according to Chinese Customs. This lowered finished steel exports 13.6%, to 41.31 million mt in the first seven months of this year.
Separately, China imported 89.96 million mt of iron ore and concentrate last month, and 620.65 million mt from January to July.
Imports in the first seven months dipped 0.7% from a year ago. Average import prices stood at $69.64/mt, down $3.34/mt from last year.
