SHANGHAI, Jul 6 (SMM) – The operating rate across China's primary lead smelters in June dipped 3.3 percentage points from May and stood at 56.4%, SMM surveyed. The figure is down 3.04 percentage points from the same period last year.

SMM expects that operating rates will rebound to 61.5% in July as primary lead smelters in Jiyuan, Henan province plan to resume production this month. Their plan to resume comes after month-long production cuts of 30-50% for environmental reviews.
