Steel rebar output of 7,500 mt/per day is likely to be affected in the second half of June

SHANGHAI, Jun 13 (SMM) – Steel rebar output of 7,500 mt/per day is likely to be affected in the second half of June, when only one of Zenith Steel's four rolling lines will operate, SMM learned. The line in operation has a daily production capacity of 2,500 mt.

Zenith, located in Changzhou of Jiangsu province, has undertaken maintenance on two of its steel bar rolling lines since June 15, SMM learned. One will resume production by early July, while the other will resume by early August.

The fourth steel bar rolling line will produce special steel from June 15, SMM learned. Compared to regular steel, special steel is stronger and has better biocompatibility and performance.
