China’s rebar output up 18.4% year on year in Q1

China produced 47.38 million mt of rebar in the first three months of this year, up 18.4% from the same period last year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.

SHANGHAI, Apr 20 (SMM) – China produced 47.38 million mt of rebar in the first three months of this year, up 18.4% from the same period last year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.

Rebar output in March came in at 16.91 million mt, up 11.7% year on year.

Output of wire rod went up 5.6% to 11.22 million mt in March, bringing the January-March output to 31.92 million mt, up 9.1% on the year.
