SHANGHAI, Mar 19 (SMM) – As profits of #300 stainless steel declined, a plant in north-west China cut output of the series to produce more #400 stainless steel, SMM learned. 

This brings output of #300 stainless steel output to stand at 30,000-40,000 mt per month while that of #400 stands at 60,000 mt per month. Production of the two were the same last year when #300 stainless steel saw healthy profit margins.
