Snapshot: Seaborne iron ore trade flow in mid-to-late Mar

Seaborne iron ore trade flow in mid-to-late Mar

SHANGHAI, Mar 19 (SMM) – Seventy-five vessels carrying 10.59 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive at major Chinese ports during March 16-22, SMM learned. This is up 15.2% from 9.19 million mt a week ago.

During the same period, the volumes of iron ore departing Australian ports are expected to increase by 530,000 mt to 16.21 million mt, while those leaving Brazil will decrease by 720,000 mt to 7.63 million mt due to routine port maintenance.
