Flash: China's daily output of crude steel up in late-Feb

Average daily output of crude steel across major Chinese steel mills stood at 1.8787 million mt during the last eight days of February.

SHANGHAI, Mar 14 (SMM) – Average daily output of crude steel across major Chinese steel mills stood at 1.8787 million mt during the last eight days of February, up 4.4% from 1.7996 million mt in the second 10 days of the month, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

China's average daily output of crude steel is estimated to be 2.2985 million mt.

Steel inventories at these majors steelmakers amounted to 13.97 million mt as of February 28, up 19.4% from 11.4 million mt as of February 20.
