Iron Ore Evacuation Volume Surges in Northern Ports

Daily average evacuation volume surges from 204,000 tonnes to 2.592 million tonnes this week.

SHANGHAI, Nov.17 (SMM)－This week iron ore inventory at ports drops 200,000 tonnes on weekly basis. As per SMM Steel statistics, up to Nov.17^th, iron ore inventory at 35 ports reaches 128.7 million tonnes, dropping 200,000 tonnes on weekly basis. Daily average evacuation volume surges from 204,000 tonnes to 2.592 million tonnes this week.

China imported 91.61 million mt of iron ore and its concentrate in October, a decrease of 4.2% from the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%, according to the online query platform for customs statistics.
