US Copper Imports Fall Sharply in August and Exports Grow

Copper cathode imports by the US were 53,283,794 kg in August, much lower than July’s 90,760,617 kg. Total imports were 532,332,388 kg during January-August.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 9 (SMM) - Copper cathode imports by the US were 53,283,794 kg in August, much lower than July’s 90,760,617 kg, according to Commerce Department. Total imports were 532,332,388 kg during January-August.

US Lead Imports Fall Remarkably in August, Exports Surge

The country’s copper cathode exports were 4,495,147 kg in August, compared to 3,537,064 kg in July. Total exports were 42,791,083 kg during January-August.
