JFE Steel to Close One Blast Furnace for Maintenance

JFE Steel will shut down a blast furnace at its East Japan Works in September for unit maintenance.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 20 (SMM) - JFE Steel will shut down a blast furnace at its East Japan Works in September for unit maintenance. 

The shut-down of the furnace will cut output by about 300,000 tonnes, around 6 per cent of the company's monthly production.

Danyang Longjiang Steel to Start Unit Maintenance

In late August, the company closed one of converter furnaces for a problem at its auxiliary equipment for collecting waste gas and dust.
