Finished Steel Inventories Fall at CISA Members in Late August

Finished steel inventories fell 947,900 tonnes or 7.2% to 12.226 million tonnes at member companies of China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) as of late August, according to the CISA.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 11 (SMM) – Finished steel inventories fell 947,900 tonnes or 7.2% to 12.226 million tonnes at member companies of China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) as of late August, according to the CISA.

Average daily crude steel output at member companies was 1.847 million tonnes in late August, down 69,900 tonnes or 3.65% from ten days earlier.

Domestic average daily crude steel output is estimated to be 2.406 million tonnes in late August, down 6,700 tonnes or 0.28% from ten days earlier.
