China Rebar, Wire Rod Inventories Grow This Week, SMM Data

Domestic rebar and wire rod inventories were up this week, while hot-rolled plate/coil inventories fell, SMM data showed.

SHANGHAI, Sept 7 (SMM) - Domestic rebar and wire rod inventories were up this week, while hot-rolled plate/coil inventories fell, SMM data showed.

Domestic rebar inventories increased 125,000 tonnes or 2.7% on a weekly basis to 4.75 million tonnes as of Thursday. Wire rod inventories increased 37,500 tonnes or 3.3% to 1.16 million tonnes.

Hot-rolled plate/coil inventories fell 8,200 tonnes or 0.4% to 2.19 million tonnes.
