Rio Tinto Copper Ore Output Declines in Q2 2017

Rio Tinto’s copper ore production was down 5.6% year-on-year to 124,700 tonnes in the second quarter of the year.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 28 (SMM) – Rio Tinto’s copper ore production was down 5.6% year-on-year to 124,700 tonnes in the second quarter of the year.

Anglo American Reports Decline in Copper Ore Output in Q2 2017

Nonetheless, its copper ore production increased 48% on a quarterly basis due to a long-time strike at Escondida copper mine in the first quarter.
