China Average Daily Crude Steel Output Falls 2.18 Per cent in July

In July, China produced 74.02 million tonnes of crude steel, up 10.27 per cent YoY, and its average daily output was 2.39 million tonnes over the month, down 2.18 per cent on a monthly basis.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – In July, China produced 74.02 million tonnes of crude steel, up 10.27 per cent YoY, and its average daily output was 2.39 million tonnes over the month, down 2.18 per cent on a monthly basis. YTD output totaled 491.55 million tonnes, up 5.14 per cent on a yearly basis, with average daily output at 2.32 million tonnes. 

China Ferrous Metals Gather Rising Strength on Positive Factors

Output of crude steel at major steel mills tracked by China’s Iron&Steel Association was 57.23 million tonnes in July, up 10.31 per cent YoY, and its average daily output was 1.85 million tonnes, down 1.46 per cent on a monthly basis. YTD output was 380.49 million tonnes, up 7.46 per cent on a yearly basis, with average daily output at 1.79 million tonnes.
