China Iron Ore Port Inventory Registers 4-Week Decline, SMM Reports

The decline in iron ore inventories at 35 Chinese ports expanded again on August 18, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – The decline in iron ore inventories at 35 Chinese ports expanded again on August 18, SMM reports.  

The figure was down 1.63 million tonnes to 127.86 million tonnes from 129.49 million tonnes seen last week. Iron ore port inventory has dropped for 4 weeks in a row.

Daily evacuation of cargoes from port rose 88,000 tonnes to 2.72 million tonnes this past week.
