One EAF high-grade NPI producer in Shandong has suspended production recently due to environmental factor, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 17 (SMM) – One EAF high-grade NPI producer in Shandong has suspended production recently due to environmental factor, Shanghai Metals Market learns. 

One NPI Plant in Jiangsu Delays Production Resumption, SMM Learns

The closure is expected to last for about one week. The plant produced 2,000 tonnes of high-grade NPI in July.

Recently, production at the plant is not stable due to unit and environmental factors, according to the person familiar with the matter.

US Q4 GDP Revised Down to 0.7%, PCE Rises 0.3% MoM, Job Openings Increase to 6.95M
The US’s Q4 GDP for last year was revised down to just 0.7%. In January, PCE rose 0.3% MoM, while on a YoY basis it edged down from 2.9% to 2.8%; core PCE inflation increased 0.4% MoM and 3.1% YoY. January job openings increased from 6.55 million in December to 6.95 million, while layoffs declined.
