SHANGHAI, Aug. 7 (SMM) – The market will lack solid news today. US non-farm employment will continue to bolster markets.

LME lead will fluctuate at highs between USD 2,355-2,375/mt today, and SHFE 1709 lead will fluctuate between RMB 18,550-18,750/mt, with spot lead prices between RMB 18,650-18,750/mt.

【Flash | InP-Integrated AI Optical Engines Enter Volume Shipments】

NewPhotonics and Tower Semiconductor announced high-volume shipments of laser-integrated optical engines for AI infrastructure. The 800G and 1.6T PICs use Tower’s PH18DA silicon-photonics platform with heterogeneously integrated InP components, enabling lasers, SOAs, modulators and photodetectors on one chip. Volume shipments of 6.4T NPO chipsets are planned for H1 2027.
