Following a rapid gain in nickel market, one stainless steel mill in east China’s purchase price for high-grade NPI via trader was up to 900 yuan per mtu, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 26 (SMM) – Following a rapid gain in nickel market, one stainless steel mill in east China’s purchase price for high-grade NPI via trader was up to 900 yuan per mtu, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

One NPI Plant Suspends Production after Coming Back Not Long Ago

The mill required phosphor content below 0.03%. Another mill in north China set the procurement price for high-grade NPI at 860-870 yuan per mtu, according to SMM sources.

So far, no big trading volumes have been heard, and most of mills are waiting for procurement price released by Zhangjiagang Pohang and Taigang Stainless Steel.
