US finalizes antidumping margins on Rebar imports from Taiwan

The US department of Commerce has issued optimistic final finding in their anti dumping investigation of rebar imports from Taiwan.

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): The US department of Commerce has issued optimistic final finding in their anti dumping investigation of rebar imports from Taiwan.

As per the US department of Commerce, Lo-Toun Steel and Iron Works Co. received a 32.01 percent of dumping margin, while Power Steel Co. and all other Taiwanese traders were issued a 3.50 percent final dumping margin.

The Customs and Border protection will be instructed by the US department of Commerce to collect cash deposits from importers based on these final rates. The final rates will be settled after the on or about September 5 after the final injury determination.

An estimated value of $53 million was valued for the imports of Steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan during 2016, as per the US Department of Commerce.
