Global lead market still reported supply deficit at 172,000 tonnes in the first five months of 2017, according to World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS).

SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) – Global lead market still reported supply deficit at 172,000 tonnes in the first five months of 2017, which was flat at the level seen in 2016, according to World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS).

WBMS: Global Copper Demand Outstrips Supply in January-May 2017

Lead inventory grew 29,000 tonnes as of late May, compared to late 2016.

Refined lead output was 4.909 million tonnes in January-May 2017 in worldwide, up 12.3% YoY, while demand expanded 658,000 tonnes at the same period.
