NEW YORK (Scrap Register): Asian blast furnace Iron production during the period of May this year was seen at 78.738 million tons, which is more than 78 percent of the total global production. The production during the month was seen to decline slightly when compared to 79.064 million tons in April this year.
The global blast furnace Iron production was seen to remain flat but slight variations was seen. The production during May this year totaled at 100.616 million tons against the 100.423 million tons produced during April 2017.
The blast furnace Iron production during the first five months was totaled at 492.579 million tons. The Asian countries with most increased blast furnace Iron production is China, Japan, India and South Korea with 61.733 million tons, 6.700 million tons, 5.480 million tons and 3.565 million tons respectively.
The global blast furnace Iron output data shown was collected by 39 countries, which accounted for approximately 99 percentage of the world blast furnace Iron production during the entire year 2015. The blast furnace Iron production by Asian countries during the initial five months of 2017 was totaled at 385.346 million tons.
