Zinc Spot Premiums Expand in Shanghai as Supplies Tighten, SMM Reports

Spot premiums expanded 60-100 yuan per tonne over July zinc on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) on June 8 from June 7, SMM learns.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 8 (SMM) - Spot premiums in Shanghai expanded 60-100 yuan per tonne over July zinc on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) on June 8 from June 7, SMM learns.

Spot zinc supplies in the market tightened with consumption of imported zinc.

Maintenance at China Zinc Smelters to Hurt Zinc Output in June, SMM Reports

Trading in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong was slack since downstream buyers lacked interest in buying.

Guizhou to Build 5,000-tpy High-Performance Zinc Alloy Project

#0 zinc traded mainly in 22,090-22,320 yuan per tonne range in Shanghai, 850-950 yuan per tonne above SHFE July zinc. #0 zinc prices in Tianjin market were 22,250-23,230 yuan per tonne.
