Shanghai Spot Lead Prices to Hold Flat (2017-5-31)

LME lead rose above the 5- and 10-day moving averages, and is expected to move between USD 2,095-2,130/mt today.

SHANGHAI, May 31 (SMM) – LME lead rose above the 5- and 10-day moving averages, and is expected to move between USD 2,095-2,130/mt today. SHFE 1707 lead found strong support from RMB 15,800/mt, but met great resistance from RMB 16,000/mt, and should hover between RMB 15,800-16,050/mt. Spot prices in Shanghai will fluctuate between RMB 15,850-15,950/mt.

【Flash | InP-Integrated AI Optical Engines Enter Volume Shipments】

NewPhotonics and Tower Semiconductor announced high-volume shipments of laser-integrated optical engines for AI infrastructure. The 800G and 1.6T PICs use Tower’s PH18DA silicon-photonics platform with heterogeneously integrated InP components, enabling lasers, SOAs, modulators and photodetectors on one chip.
