LME Aluminum to Rise on Weaker Dollar (2017-5-25)

LME aluminum will rise to USD 1,935-1,960/mt today due to a weaker dollar after release of dovish minutes of the US Fed’s May policy meeting.

SHANGHAI, May 25 (SMM) –LME aluminum will rise to USD 1,935-1,960/mt today due to a weaker dollar after release of dovish minutes of the US Fed’s May policy meeting. SHFE 1707 aluminum should move between RMB 13,900-14,100/mt. 

In east China’s spot aluminum market, spot discounts of RMB 110-70/mt are expected over SHFE 1706 aluminum contract.
