India Containerized Shredded Scrap import prices stay stable; Plastic Scrap prices show mixed trend

NEW DELHI (Scrap Register): India containerized shredded scrap import weekly average prices stayed stable during the week ended April 07 this year, while India's major plastic scrap prices on the Scrap Register Price Index showed a mixed trend.

Imported scrap offers to India have moved up $5-10 a ton on the back of scrap price rises in the Turkish market. No deals were reportedly concluded however. 

Moreover, after a long absence of buyers from the market, Pakistan has also returned with several bids heard in the market. Scrap import prices remained at $282 a ton CFR Nhava Sheva port during the week.

The plastic scrap commodities like ABS(bayr), Acrylic, C.P.W, HD Blowing, Hips(Baff) and PVC resin desi showed an up trend during the week, while API, HD Moulding (Colour), LLDP Blowing and PVC pest grade declined during the week.
