SHANGHAI, Apr. 21 (SMM) - China Minmetals Nonferrous Metals Co. will invest 9 billion yuan in a nonferrous metals industry park which will create 30 billion yuan output value in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, local paper reported.
The industry park will construct 300,000-tpy zinc smelting greenfield and 200,000-tpy copper smelting brownfield projects. 100,000-tpy existing lead and rare and precious metals capacity will be removed.
The first phase 300,000-tpy zinc smelting project is expected to come online before the end of 2018.
