SHANGHAI, Apr. 19 (SMM) - Chongqing will eliminate nearly 3 million tonnes of steel capacity at 20 steel mills in 2017, local paper reported.
24 steel plants exited the steel market last year, including Chongqing Yuxi Steel (Group) Co. and Chongqing Pengcheng Iron & Steel Co. More than 120 sets of smelting facilities including intermediate frequency furnaces were eliminated.
