SHFE Lead Prices down 0.36% (2017-3-8)

SHFE 1704 lead started at RMB 17,870/mt and ended at RMB 17,990/mt, down RMB 65/mt or 0.36%.
SHANGHAI, Mar. 8 (SMM) – On Wednesday, SHFE 1704 lead started at RMB 17,870/mt and then declined to RMB 17,770/mt. The contract ended at RMB 17,990/mt, down RMB 65/mt or 0.36%. Trading volumes were up 14,666 to 64,988 lots and positions were down 2,706 to 38,088. According to China’s trade balance in February, import increased sharply while export missed market expectation. Base metals dropped across the board.
SHFE 1704 lead will keep facing downward pressure for the foreseeable future.
