India's Containerized Shredded Scrap import prices rise further; Plastic Scrap prices show mixed trend

India containerized shredded scrap import weekly average prices rose further during the week ended February 17 this year, while India's major plastic scrap prices.

NEW DELHI (Scrap Register): India containerized shredded scrap import weekly average prices rose further during the week ended February 17 this year, while India's major plastic scrap prices on the Scrap Register Price Index showed a mixed trend. 
Indian containerized scrap import saw an $11 a ton during the week to reach $266 a ton CFR Nhava Sheva port. Scrap offers into India have moved up on the back of global prices seeing a sharp rise this past week. 
Containerized offers to the market increased $16 a ton on the week amid, believed to be also on the back of strong Chinese steel prices.
The plastic scrap commodities like ABS(bayr) and Acrylic showed a down trend during the week, while Hips(Baff), PVC resin desi, API, C.P.W and PVC pest grade gained during the week. The commodities like HD Blowing, HD Moulding (Colour) and LLDP Blowing showed a flat trend.
