SHFE Lead Prices down 1.6% (2017-2-28)

SHFE 1704 lead opened at RMB 18,575/mt and ended at RMB 18,450/mt, down RMB 300/mt or 1.6%.
SHANGHAI, Feb. 28 (SMM) – On Tuesday, SHFE 1704 lead opened at RMB 18,575/mt and then declined to RMB 18,380/mt after a slight growth. Later, the contract fluctuated at lows and although longs strengthened, the contract only rallied slightly with lack of rising strength. SHFE 1704 lead ended at RMB 18,450/mt, down RMB 300/mt or 1.6%. Trading volumes increased 4,352 to 46,534 lots and positions rose 2,076 to 40,788. SHFE 1704 lead dropped below the 40-day moving average and fell for five days in a row on Tuesday.
SHFE 1704 lead will remain weak in a short term.
