Tangshan Announces to Close Rolling Mills on Air Pollution

SHANGHAI, Jan. 3 (SMM) – Tangshan announced January 2 to take stricter measures to reduce emissions for heavy air pollution. 

From 10:00 January 2, all independent rolling mills will be requested to be shut down, and enterprises will volatile organic compounds will be closed, and meanwhile, production at sintering furnaces (including shaft furnace) will be also suspended under the precondition of guaranteeing production safety and heating supply for residents.
