United States steel scrap exports to Turkey climbed nearly 10 percent to 282,000 tons during the month of October this year, as per the latest figures released by the US Commerce Department.

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): United States steel scrap exports to Turkey climbed nearly 10 percent to 282,000 tons during the month of October this year, as per the latest figures released by the US Commerce Department.

Turkey is the biggest importer of US steel scrap during the month of October this year followed by Mexico (148,000 tons) and India (123,000 tons).

United States total steel scrap exports advanced sharply by 34.3 percent year-on-year to 1.239 million tons in October and up 10.5 percent as compared to 1.12 million tons in September this year.

United States has exported 10.334 million tons of steel scrap during January to October of this year.
