SHANGHAI (Scrap Register): China's crude steel production slightly up by 1.1% year-on-year to 738.94 million metric tons during the first eleven months of this year, according to the latest figures released by the China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 

China has produced 643.26 million metric tons of pig iron and 1.04344 billion metric tons of finished steel during January to November, up 0.4 percent year-on-year and 2.4% year-on-year, respectively. 

Chinese crude steel production gained by 5 percent year-on-year to 66.29 million metric tons during the month of November. China has produced 57.23 million metric tons of pig iron and 95.40 million metric tons of finished steel, an increase of 5.3 percent year-on-year and 1.7 percent year-on-year, respectively.

According to China Iron and Steel Association, Chinese steel mills' average daily crude steel output slipped to 1.7196 million metric tons during the late November (November 21-30) this year, down 0.24 percent compared to 1.7238 million metric tons in mid-November (Nov. 11-20).
