India Containerized Shredded Scrap import prices climb slightly; Plastic Scrap prices down

India containerized shredded scrap import average prices climbed slightly during the week ended October 21, while India's major plastic scrap prices on the Scrap Register Price Index traded down.

NEW DELHI (Scrap Register): India containerized shredded scrap import average prices climbed slightly during the week ended October 21, while India's major plastic scrap prices on the Scrap Register Price Index traded down.

Indian containerized scrap import prices increased slightly by $2 a ton to $232 a ton Nhava Sheva port. Scrap prices remained relatively stable for the last two weeks, as there was not much buying heard in the containerized market. 

Those deals that were reported had shredded prices in the range $225-240/t and HMS 80:20 scrap at $210-230/t (CFR basis).

The major plastic scrap commodities down on Scrap Register Price Index during the week. The plastic scrap commodities like Acrylic, API, C.P.W, HD Blowing, HD Moulding (Colour), Hips(Baff), LLDP Blowing, PVC pest grade and PVC resin desi declined during the week.
