North American copper scrap prices see marginal rise on 25th May, 2016

The North American copper scrap prices climbed higher marginally on ScrapMonster Price Index as on May 25th, Wednesday.

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices climbed higher marginally on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on May 25th, Wednesday.

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.02 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices held steady. #3 Copper-Light copper prices went higher by $0.01 per Lb to reach $1.72 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap increased marginally by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on May 25th, 2016.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices remained flat over the day.

The price of Romex Wire and Scrap Electric Motors too held steady.

The prices of Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights maintained previous day price levels.

The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government issued the Implementation Plan of Guangzhou for Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry. It proposed focusing on advancing the R&D and promotion of intelligent hardware products such as intelligent connected vehicles, intelligent unmanned systems, whole-home intelligent terminals, intelligent wearable devices, industrial intelligent terminals, and brain-computer interfaces; promoting the application of large in-vehicle edge-side models; and supporting the development of AIoT systems featuring collaboration among home appliances, central control systems, and sensors. It also called for advancing the commercialization of embodied AI robots, supporting enterprises in independently developing core parts, and expanding the application of intelligent robots in fields such as industrial manufacturing, household services, and healthcare.
