SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1609 nickel started at RMB 68,530/mt for night trading last Friday and once fell to RMB 67,500/mt. The contract later ranged RMB 67,600-67,900/mt before closing at RMB 67,760/mt.
SHFE 1609 nickel opened at RMB 67,720/mt on Monday and then moved lower to RMB 66,720/mt in response to ferrous metals prices, before ending at RMB 67,180/mt, off 1.96%. Trading volumes were up 269,000 to 828,000 lots and positions were up 14,878 to 643,000.
