SHFE Copper Ends with Gains (Mar. 17, 2016)

SHFE 1605 copper opened at RMB 37,450/mt for night trading Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 17 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 copper opened at RMB 37,450/mt for night trading Wednesday and fell back after advancing to RMB 37,690/mt with closing prices at RMB 37,580/mt. up RMB 220/mt. Positions fell 3,304.

SHFE 1605 copper opened higher at RMB 37,880/mt on Thursday due to no rate hike by US Fed in March and climbed to RMB 37,970/mt, to end at RMB 37,940/mt, an increase of RMB 580/mt or 1.55%. Positions were up 6,868 while those for SHFE 1606 and 1607 copper increased 8,880.

SHFE 1605 copper should face resistance at RMB 38,000/mt this evening.
