SHFE Tin Gives Back Gains After Initial Rise (2016-1-26)

SHFE 1605 tin opened at RMB 97,260/mt on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 26 (SMM) –SHFE 1605 tin opened at RMB 97,260/mt on Tuesday. The most active drifted higher on short covering, and then rose further to RMB 97,880/mt due to sharply rising prices in Shanghai spot market. But the contract then fell back to end down RMB 30/mt at RMB 97,700/mt. Trading volumes were down 4,816 lots to 16,062 lots, and positions were up 378 to 7,890.
