On Friday, the most active contract started at RMB 123,790/mt, and ended the day up RMB 710/mt or 0.57% at RMB 124,330/mt. Trading volumes were down 8,346 lots to 12,300 lots, and positions were down 676 to 13,784. Value-added at above-scale Chinese industrial enterprises rose 6.0% YoY in July, lower than expected. Fixed asset investment continued weakening and property market cooled further. These dampened market sentiment.
