SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Mexican Economy Secretariat (SE) has officially announced its decision to extend the validity of existing provisional permits to export iron ore until December 2016.

In a document filing published in the country’s official gazette, SE has indicated that the set of rules that regulate the export of iron ore from the country has been extended to December 31st, 2016. The expiration of all provisional export permits has been extended until the end of this year.

It must be noted that SE had initially introduced general rules for foreign trade during December 2012. Further, it had announced amendments to the framework by granting provisional permits for export of the raw material with the intention of inhibiting illegal exploitation and sales of these products.
