China Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Prices Rise

The averaged prices of Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 rose 150 yuan per tonne last week in tandem with zinc prices.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 28 (SMM) - The averaged prices of Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 rose 150 yuan per tonne last week in tandem with zinc prices, to 13,570-13,930 yuan per tonne and 13,870-14,230 yuan per tonne, respectively, SMM data show.

Orders were stable. Those from auto parts sector improved thanks to climbing automobile output and sales, SMM understands. Export orders from costume accessories and hardware sectors were sluggish, though.

“Die-cast zinc alloy producers refrained from buying stocks recently due to higher zinc prices and year-end payment collection.”said an SMM zinc analyst.
