CANTERBURY (Scrap Monster): According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association (World steel), the crude steel production by EU-28 countries declined by 3.8% during the month of October year-on-year. The output by the region totaled 14.191 Million tonnes during the month.
Germany recorded the highest output during the month of October. The country produced 3.638 Million tonnes during the month, which is higher by 2.7% when compared with the country’s output of 3.542 Million tonnes during October 2014. On a year-on-year basis, Croatia recorded the biggest jump in production. The crude steel output by Croatia surged higher by 79.8% in October ’15 over the previous year.
The lowest output too was by Croatia. The crude steel output by Croatia totaled around 15,000 tonnes in October this year.
Croatia, Germany, Greece, Poland, Slovenia and Sweden recorded increased year-on-year crude steel production. France recorded the biggest decline in crude steel output during October ‘15, falling by 20.9% when compared with the previous year.
