SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 78,110/mt during Thursday evening session and moved in tight range of RMB 78,100-78,500/mt.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 78,110/mt during Thursday evening session and moved in tight range of RMB 78,100-78,500/mt. Market sentiment stayed wary as investors waited for US interest rate meeting minutes. The contract ended at RMB 78,280/mt.

SHFE nickel fell to RMB 77,830/mt after opening Friday trading session at RMB 78,450/mt and closed at RMB 77,890/mt, off 0.89%. Trading volumes declined 234,000 to about 1.45 millions lots but positions were up 17,024 to 269,000.
