Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange down further to 855 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities down further on Wednesday mainly due to weak capesize.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities down further on Wednesday mainly due to weak capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 15 points to 855 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
