LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities dropped to below 1200 points on Monday lead by weak capesize rates.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 3 points to 1997 points on Monday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
