TURKEY July 15 2015 2:15 PM
ANKARA (Scrap Register): Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 scrap import average prices (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) plummeted further by $12 a ton week-on-week to $246 a ton in the week ended July 10, as per the latest figures from the Steel Index.
According to TSI, completed trade was again light to non-existent as the market sought to find a level at which Turkish mills would be willing to return to the deep-sea market.
By the end of the week this level had not been found, with mills heard to be seeking material closer to $230 a ton.
