SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Tyson Foods is doing their best to keep Northeast Nebraska clean and now they're getting some special recognition for it. The company is being recognized for their recycling practices by Keep Northeast Nebraska Beautiful, an organization that's dedicated to preserving solid waste practices. For the last couple of years, Tyson has been making many efforts to recycle plastic, paper and cardboard items as opposed to just dumping them in a landfill.

"Landfill space is limited. You're eventually going to run out and those resources being put in the landfill can be re-used, so we find it very important that recycling is the way to go," said John Hammer, Complex Environmental Manager, Tyson Foods.
