Taiwan Feng Hsin announces cut in rebar base price

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Major Taiwanese long steel product manufacturer-Feng Hsin Iron and Steel Co. has decided to cut its rebar prices for the week commencing April 20th, 2015. Also, the base prices of section steel will remain flat during the week. The company has announced that the scrap purchasing prices too will remain steady.

 

According to company press release by Feng Hsin, the list prices for rebar will be reduced by NT 200 per ton from the previous week. Post announcement, the rebar prices will now be at NT$ 14,300 per ton The price for section steel during the week will be in the range of NT$ 18,000 per ton, holding steady when compared with the previous week prices.

 

The scrap purchasing prices will remain unchanged from the previous week. The scrap buy prices for the week will range between NT$ 6,800 per ton and NT$ 7,400 per ton, Feng Hsin press release stated.
